Description
Duration of Contract Period: 1 year Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. This is a Total Small Business Set Aside. This is a requirement for theremanufacture/re-core and modification of the F-15 Heat Exchanger. Thecontractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and allmaterial to accomplish remanufacture/re-core and modification, test,packing, preservation and packaging of the F-15 Heat Exchanger. A firmfixed price type contract is contemplated. The solicitation number willbe FA8118-09-R-0043. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Remanufacture/Re-core/Modify NSN 1660-00-273-8669, P/N 189320-3-1; Applicable to F-15 aircraft; Quantity, 80 each.Item 0002: Over and Above Work Item 0003: Data IAW DD1423sDeliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from theProduction Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 14each per month 30 days after receipt of order and reparables.The item shall be remanufactured/re-cored and tested IAW the OriginalEquipment Manufacturer (OEM) Specifications. If the OEM specificationdoes not address the re-core procedures or the process is proprietary tothe OEM, the end item shall be overhauled IAW the contractor's developedprocedures. In case of utilizing a developed re-core effort, contractormay propose their developed procedure along with substantiationdocuments for evaluation and possible approval. An IPE may be required. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot bedelayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SOURCES: Limco-Airepair, Inc., Wall Colmony Corporation andElite Aerospace, Inc. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 20 Apr 09 closing 20 May09. PR NUMBER: FD2030-09-07214 NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors orpotential offerors during the proposal development phase of thisacquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the program director or contracting officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Whenrequested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tosource of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in theevaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
