- Description: F3QCCL9085A001 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD (a) NAICS: 333512 (b) Number of employees: 500 CLIN 0001: Non-personal services for a one-time contract for all parts, tools, and labor to repair/rebuild one each V-5 Spindle in the High Speed Machining Center - WR002739. QTY: 1 Lot Price(s) should be FOB Destination (Robins AFB GA 31098). In addition to price and delivery, quote should include your cage code, DUNS number, and taxpayer ID number. Requested delivery date is 30 days ARO or earlier. Manufacturer: Weiss Spindle Technology Inc Justification for Sole Source Only: The spindle is an extremely accurate piece of equipment requiring extensive knowledge of the mechanics. Therefore, the rebuild/repair should only be provided by the original equipment manufacturer, Weiss Spindle Technology. For the machine to function as a whole to maintain its original specifications, the spindle must be rebuilt by Weiss Spindle Technology because the spindle works in conjunction with the rest of the machine. The mechanisms and internal workings of the spindle were designed specifically for this machine by the above listed vendor. Weiss Spindle Technology provides the technical abilities required to perform the requirements for the rebuild of the V-5 Spindle.
