Description
The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center is hosting a Risk Assessment Workshop on 29-30 Apr 09 to identify and rank program risks associated with an initiative by the 542 CSW to acquire Contractor Logistics Support/Rev Engineering/Overhaul on the Halvorsen 25K Aircraft loader. These services are described in the Program Description Summary contained in the Sources Sought synopsis K109LOADERSSS posted on 21 Nov 08. Our acquisition strategy is still being developed and will be announced as soon as practicable. The Air Force intends to acquire contractor logistics support for the Halvorsen weapon system via a FAR 15 contract. The contractor will provide a broad range of support for a fleet of 443 deployed Halvorsen loaders, with a potential growth to a fleet of 538. In addition to CLS, the AF intends to acquire a technical data package via reverse engineering. The AF will also require an overhaul demonstration with follow-on overhaul effort for the fleet. On the first day, we will provide a brief program overview followed by risk identification/assessment/prioritization and will conclude with a discussion on mitigation of risks. We welcome collaboration with industry to critically review our requirements and discuss mutual issues and concerns relative to our technical requirements and acquisition strategy approach. On the second day, we will provide a recap/feedback session and then offer one-on-one sessions with each vendor interested in discussing specific issues and concerns relative to their company's interest. Each vendor will be allowed 20 minutes of discussion time for the closed sessions depending on the number of respondents. Sessions will be scheduled on a first-come-first-served basis. If your company is interested in participating in the subject Risk Assessment Workshop, please contact Alicia Vogel by e-mail at alicia.vogel@robins.af.mil or by phone at 478-222-2313. Please copy Terry Greenfeder by email at terry.greenfeder.ctr@robins.af.mil on any correspondence. Detailed information regarding base access, parking, and local area information will be provided to respondents. If you would like to schedule a one-on-one, please notify us at the time you advise of your attendance. Due to the expected level of interest in the program, we are limiting company/team participation to just two (2) representatives each. Please respond by 10 Apr 09.
