Description

The U.S. EPA, National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure Inc., under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, to provide extended on-site operations support services for the EPA-Cincinnati Test and Evaluation (T&E) Facility for the National Risk Management Research Laboratory. This action will extend the current performance period by one month to 6/30/09, and add an option to further extend the period by one additional month for a maximum expiration date of 7/31/09. This notice is not a request for proposals. Shaw is considered uniquely qualified to meet this requirement based on their familiarity with the on-site and off-site work, its hazards and current site activities. Mobilization by another contractor would result in significant duplication of effort and cost to the Government and would cause unacceptable delays in ongoing studies. However, any firm wishing to be considered may submit technical documentation to the POC within 15 days of electronic posting of this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis. A determination not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
