Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to solicit a quotation and issue a purchase order to Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc., of Arlington, VA for onsite preventive and remedial maintenance for SSA-owned Konica Minolta color copiers for the period 4/1/2009 through 6/30/2009. Equipment to be covered for maintenance by the order includes 16 Konica Minolta Model 8020 copiers and 8 Konica Minolta Model 8031 copiers. The copiers at SSA's Central Headquarters in Baltimore MD and throughout the US. The contractor will provide all service, parts, drums and supplies, except paper, for the copiers. The contractor will provide only Konica Minolta-certified technicians to maintain the equipment during the service period. The contractor will perform regular preventive maintenance on the equipment in accordance with Konica Minolta operating guidelines. Other organizations that believe they are capable of meeting SSA's nationwide Konica Minolta color copier interim maintenance requirements are invited to submit information establishing a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. If the SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing this requirement, the agency will solicit a quotation and issue a sole source award for the on-site preventive and remedial Konica Minolta nationwide color copier maintenance to Konica Minolta under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. This is not a Request for Proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the information received. Responses to this notice must be submitted by April 3, 2009, 3:00 PM EDT. Responses may be sent via e-mail only to the point of contact listed below.
