Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Yuma, Arizona has a Commercial Item Requirement, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, from the Yuma Desalting Plant for service for the Transportation and Disposal of Limestone with Sulfuric Acid. A Request for Quotes (RFQ) No. 09SQ340040 will be issued for this requirement. For this acquisition, North American Industrial Classification System code is 562212 and the Small Business Size Standard is $12.5 Million Dollars. This acquisition is Small Business Set Aside. Large Businesses are encouraged to submit quotes in the event that responsive Small Business quotes are not received. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about March 31, 2009 and the date and time for receipt of quotes will be on or aboutApril 15, 2009, at 4 p.m. local time, however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The RFQ will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov to facilitate submittal of quotes through electronic commerce and to view all applicable clauses and attachments, but the Government reserves the right to issue the RFQ on paper in the event the website becomes inoperable or if the Contracting Officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. The RFQ No. 09SQ340040 will be available at the link provided in this notice or check our website http://ideas.nbc.gov. Offerors should visit the web site after March 31, 2009 in order to access the RFQ and any subsequent amendments and/or notices. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) database prior to the award of a contract. This database provides basic business information, capabilities, and financial information to the Government and complies with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, which requires federal agencies to have the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) of every contractor and to pay every contractor through electronic funds transfer. Lack of registration in the CCR database may make an offeror ineligible for award. The CCR Handbook and information on the registration process can be obtained via the CCR website, http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Offerors will be required to complete the annual representation and certification electronically via the Online Representation and Certification Application (ORCA) website at http://orca.bnp.gov.
