- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for an Electron Gun System.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Kimball Physics Inc.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. easternlocal time on April 13, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solelyfor the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on acompetitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed efforton a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solelywithin the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing via e-mail toJanicea.L.McCree@nasa.gov or via facsimile at 301-286-8688 no later than April 8, 2009,11:00 p.m. eastern local time.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
