Description
Western Area Power Administration, Upper Great Plains Region, has arequirementfor a contractor to provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment,tools, transportation, and any other resources necessary to complete thisproject. The principal components of the work involve the construction ofanew high voltage 115-kV electrical substation tap near Minot, North Dakota. Work includes sitework, concrete foundations, fencing, galvanized steelstructures, major outdoor electrical equipment, service building, and other additional items as described on the drawings and specifications. The workislocated in Ward County, North Dakota. This solicitation is 100% Full andOpenCompetition - Sealed Bids. The estimated construction magnitude of thisproject is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All work is to be completedwithin150 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Any non-U.S.(Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area PowerAdministrationfacility must receive prior written approval from the appropriate WesternSecurity Manager. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. The solicitation, specifications anddrawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available inelectronicformat, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documentswillbe distributed. Interested parties can download the solicitation athttp://e-center.doe.gov/ or http://www.fbo.gov on or about April 14, 2009andthe projected bid opening date is May 19, 2009. It is the responsibilityofthe bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments. Note: Allbidsfor this IFB shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 200 4thStreet SW, Huron, SD 57350-2474.
