- USCGC Tahoma (WMEC-908) Specification for Interference Removal USCGC Tahoma (WMEC-908) Combined Synopsis for Interference Removal This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-30. The requirement is being solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-aside using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Subpart 13. The NAICS Code 336611 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1000 employees. The solicitation number is HSCG80-09-Q-3FAL26. A Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for the following Definitive and optional items is anticipated Place of Performance: USCGC TAHOMA (WMEC-908), Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH 03804. The Period of Performance will be for removal of interferences from June 01, 2009 through June 5, 2009 for five days and for replacement of interferences from 22 June, 2009 through 26 June, 2009 for five days. DESCRIPTION OF WORK (a) The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, services, equipment, power, supplies, accessories, facilities and such other things as are necessary, except as otherwise specified, to perform interference removal and replacement and alterations to the vessel, in accordance with this solicitation and the attached USCGC TAHOMA (WMEC-908), 270 Medium Endurance Cutter, Specifications for Interference Removal, 2009. (March 19, 2009 / Rev 0) (attached). (b) Failure to read the specifications in their entirety will not relieve the quoter from the responsibility for properly estimating the difficulty or price of successfully performing the work. Failure to do so will be at the quoter’s risk. ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: The contract is expected to be awarded on or about Apr 16, 2009. Interference removal shall commence on the day the vessel becomes available to the contractor and interference replacement is upon completion of the specified work approximately 2 weeks after interference removal is complete. The interference removal is scheduled to start on or about June 1, 2009. The interference replacement is scheduled to start on or about June 22, 2009. Each quoter shall furnish the information required by the solicitation.
