- Description
- Sources Sought - Request for Information for Market Research Only The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Center McPherson, Fort McPherson, Georgia is conducting market research to determine the extent to which large and small businesses are capable of performing as the prime contractor for a renewal requirement. The requirement is to provide enterprise-wide Copier/MFD products and services support for all Army installations within the United States to include Alaska and Hawaii. There are approximately 50 Army installations located throughout the U.S. In addition, support will also include the smaller Army elements that are remotely located. This is a Sources Sought announcement only for purposes of conducting market research. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The Government will not reimburse any concern for any information that is submitted in response to this Sources Sought request. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Army is considering a multiple-award, indefinite delivery- indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract. The type of contract will be determined after evaluation of market research. The primary anticipated North American Industrial Classification System code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 333315 (Photographic and Photocopying Equipment Manufacturing). Interested businesses are invited to review the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) in order to provide capabilities demonstrating ability to successfully perform this requirement. The PWS details the objectives, requirements and specifications. Please use the Market Survey questions to record your capabilities. This format will be used as a uniform format for consistency in evaluating responses. Both documents are located at website: http://www.forscom.army.mil/aacc/Enterprise_Solutions/ENTERPRISE_SOLUTIONS.htm. The survey will indicate the following primary capabilities: 1) the capability to perform all requirements specified in the PWS. 2) Past Performance information demonstrating relevant past experience within the last three years providing this type of service. 3) Demonstrate knowledge of risk management and how to analyze and implement strategies to mitigate those risk factors. 4) Business status/size (large, small, small disadvantaged, 8a, woman owned, service disabled veteran, Hub Zone or any other socio-economic group for NAICS 333315) and whether interested as prime or sub-prime. All interested businesses are required to respond to this sources sought announcement via email by April 10, 2009, 3:00 p.m. EST. Responses must include company point of contact information. The information provided in response to this sources sought will be used to finalize the acquisition strategy for this requirement. Large business concerns are not prohibited from responding to this announcement. However, information submitted from large businesses may not be used if an adequate number of small businesses demonstrate an ability to perform. All interested businesses must provide capability statement for evaluation to Mr. Michael J. Eadon via email at michael.j.eadon@us.army.mil. Notes: 1) Industry may submit input/suggestions for improvement and/or clarification to the PWS while in draft form. 2) Due to the limited capacity of email inbox, please keep email file as small as possible. Recommend that responses have minimal graphics and colors in order to reduce file size. 3) The processing of this award will transfer from Center-Fort McPherson to Fort Sam Houston (FSH) under the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC). This transfer is expected to occur after the market research phase or when the gaining team becomes operational at FSH. The Contracting Officer will be Mrs. Melisa Barbee.
