- The Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L)Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems and the Product Manager for Demilitarization is seeking information from Industry on their ability to demilitarize M483 Projectiles, recover the metal parts and then utilize the metal parts to Load, Assemble and Pack (LAP) the XM1122 IM HE Projectile. The Government is interested in respondents assessment of the technical feasibility of implementing the following: -Ability to download M483s while providing metal parts that will meet necessary quality standards for reuse. -Ability to dispose of the grenade submunitions removed from the M483 downloaded projectiles -A description of the intended approach of grenade disposal (i.e. Open Burn/Open Detonation, R3 or other) -Ability to Load, Assemble and Pack the M1122 projectile IAW the LAP and quality specs. -The response to the RFI will include recurring ROM prices to download M483, dispose of grenades and LAP XM1122 for the following annual quantity ranges. The response to RFI will show these prices individually and the response will include top level business assumptions behind the individual prices, as well as any non-recurring engineering, facilitization or tooling cost within the ranged quantities shown below: o10,000 - 30,000o30,001 - 50,000o50,001 - 100,000 Contractors are advised that no funding will be provided for preparation of the ROMS. Interested respondents may obtain the following documents upon request and coordination with POC listed below. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (available upon request) signed and on file, a valid DD2345, and Form 1350 at a minimum, will be required: XM1122 SpecsXM1122 DrawingsM483 Drawings This RFI is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. No award will be made as a result of this RFI. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this RFI. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this RFI.
