Brand Name Justification Quote/ Info Doc This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) SP4704-09-Q-1041 This RFQ is for a contractor to provide the following: HP Server Hardware and Software Maintenance listed below at locations indicated the attached document. This is a brand name requirement due to the fact that it would be more expensive to replace the HP servers than to maintain them and that Hewlett Packard or one of their authorized partners must perform the maintenance. Hewlett Packard partner/vendor must be authorized by Hewlett Packard to provide this service. Point of Contact: Contracting Officer, Randy Powell, Telephone 269-961-7110, email: randy.powell@dla.mil. ITEM SUPPLIES/SERVICES QTY UNIT UNIT-PRICE AMOUNT Maintenance of 67 Servers including hardware and software support, 01 EA See attached document for equipment locations, equipment and software qtys, types. Contractor is required to provide monthly unit pricing for each server, peripheral and software item listed on the attached sheet. Note that the first 6 month period is identical to the second six month period except for the RTS lines which only appear in the first six month period. Based on Hewlett Packard requirements, period of performance is broken into two periods: 01 Apr 2009 through 30 Sept 2009 and 01 Oct 2009 Through 31 March 2009. RTS lines are billed on the First month of service for a one time billing only. Offeror is to invoice monthly or quarterly in arrears. NAICS code is 511210 and the size standard is $25,000,000.
