- This requirement is for a 5-year Firm-Fixed Price Requirements-type Indefinite-Delivery contract for the procurement of Class A Truck Mounted Deicers and Class B Extended Reach Deicers, NSNs 1730-00-555-6205YW (Class A) and 1730-01-495-5449YW (Class B). The Extended Reach Deicer is a chassis-mounted, diesel-powered, two-wheel drive spraying unit capable of deicing, anti-icing, cleaning and decontaminating the entire range of airframes in the US Air Force inventory. This item has a spraying unit with the extended reach necessary to effectively deice/anti-ice the C-5 and C-17 horizontal stabilizers. The truck mounted unit has the same capabilities except it is a more basic unit with the ability to deice/anti-ice and clean all but the upper tail sections of C-5 and C-17 airframes. Material: Various The requirement will consist of one basic period of 12 months and 4 annual options. The best estimated quantities (BEQs) are as follows: Class A Deicers - Pre-Production Qty: 1 EA; Basic Production Qty: BEQ 44 EA; Opt I Qty: BEQ 44 EA; Opt II Qty: BEQ 44 EA; Option III Qty: BEQ 44 EA; Opt IV Qty: BEQ 44 EA. Class B Deicers - Pre-Production Qty: 1 EA; Basic Production Qty: BEQ 5 EA; Opt I Qty: BEQ 5 EA; Opt II Qty: BEQ 5 EA; Option III Qty: BEQ 5 EA; Opt IV Qty: BEQ 5 EA. There is no minimum or maximum order amount established. FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 procedures will be utilized w/ pre- production unit testing required. Multiple shipping locations are involved, to include both USAF and FMS requirements. Delivery schedule: 180 Days ARO Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with the mandatory, explicit, and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. The Government will utilize the Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT) procedures, and will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the Evaluation Basis for Award provision in the RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 01 April 2009 and anticipated award on or before 31 August 2009. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation.
