Description

Invitation For Bids for CCWF-II Central Chilled Water Facility - Phase II (CCWF-II) Project The scope of this project includes the Central Chilled Water Facility - Phase II and is scheduled to break ground in mid 2009 at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). The estimated construction cost is $10 to $16 million. This approximately 14,000 gsf 2-story expansion project will more than double the size of the existing plant, and will provide needed chilled water and compressed air capacity for several new exciting projects, including the NSLS-II and ISB. The facility will be energy efficient and incorporate sustainable design principles while providing chilled water and compressed air to facilitate and realize the scientific mission at BNL. This will be an unrestricted procurement conducted through a qualified Invitation for Bids (IFB), with award being made to the lowest qualified bidder. This is a Davis-Bacon covered (prevailing wage) procurement. NOTE: It is the responsibility of all bidders to check this website for the most current revisions to all drawings and specifications. The IFB for this project is attached here in. It may also be requested by mail, email or fax. All requests must contain your company name and address, requestor's telephone number, fax and email address. The IFB will be available electronically (.pdf format) or hard copy (by mail only). A pre-bid meeting and inspection of the job-site will be held on April 7, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in the Brookhaven Center, South Room (located on the BNL site). See the attached Instructions for Bidders for required pre-regrestration instructions, in order to be able to gain access to BNL for this meeting.
