- Description
- The FAA intends to award a JOB ORDER CONTRACT (JOC) for small construction services including, but not limited to, minor construction, alteration and repair projects for various facilities on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. A tiered evaluation of offers will be used in source selection for this contract, and offers from other-than small business concerns will only be considered after the determination that an insufficient number of offers from responsible small business concerns were received. (Please see the solicitation for more details.) This JOC is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract effective for a twelve (12) month period or to the point where the stated maximum contract amount is reached (in this case, five million dollars ($5M)), whichever comes first. This contract also provides for four option years to be exercised at the discretion of the Government in accordance with AMS T3.2.4(9), Options. The Contractor must make readily available all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to provide construction, repair and alteration services to support all facilities on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
