- Posting (brief abstract): Procurement of six (6) Nortel OME-6110 Add-Drop Multiplexers The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking vendors, distributors, and dealers to provide a quote for the following brand name mandatory procurement: Purchase of six (6) Nortel OME-6110 Add-Drop Multiplexers with the ability to: Combine or multiplex a number of low-speed, copper-cable-based data circuits into one high-speed, optical data link.Divide or demultiplex the high-speed, SONET data circuit back into the low-speed data circuits at the other end of the fiber optic link.Remote maintenance monitoring built into the system.Capability of the equipment is easily changed with available plug-in devices to accommodate changing application requirements.Rack-mounted and/or wall-mounted electronic chassis and associated power supply equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 517911, Telecommunications Resellers. The small business size standard is: 1,500. The estimated offer range for this project is below $40,000. Note: Vendors must have active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Vendors can register at www.ccr.gov. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
