- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is a wholly-owned United States government corporation and agency of the United States created under Title IV of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) to administer the federal pension insurance programs and enforce compliance with the provisions of Title IV. The primary objective of this contract effort is to provide defined benefit pension administration services to PBGC’s trusteed plan participants after the plans are transferred to one of the Post Valuation Administration contractors. The Contractor shall provide services which include but are not limited to; Gathering and maintaining participant data; Processing and authorizing benefit payments to eligible participants and beneficiaries; Processing deceased notifications, change of address requests and direct deposit changes; Issuing benefit determination letters; Maintaining participant documentation; Handling oral and written inquiries from plan participants; Performing plan closing reviews; and; LAN Administration Support. There are 2 PBGC Post Valuation Administration Field Offices, Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Richmond Heights, Ohio. This requirement is being issued as unrestricted, and will result in an award for each Post Valuation Administration Field Office, Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Richmond Heights, Ohio. The NAICS code is 524292. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The solicitation will be awarded as a labor hour contract. All responsible sources must be registered in the CCR, in order to be eligible for an award. Contractors can register online at this website; https://www.ccr.gov/. The resultant contract will be a labor hour contract with a base year of twelve (12) months and four (4) option periods that will be stated in the RFP. The solicitation and any amendments will be electronically distributed and available for printing at the following website https://www.fbo.gov/. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on/around April 01, 2009. The award date is anticipated to be on/around July 2009. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and any amendments will not be distributed. Upon issuance of the solicitation via https://www.fbo.gov, there will be an identified Question and Answer (Q&A) period. All other inquires regarding this solicitation must be sent to the Contract Specialist.
