- Description
- The solicitation for this project will be posted to Fed Biz Ops on or about March 26, 2009. This solicitation and resulting contract is to secure services for fire lookout services for the La Grande Ranger District on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. There are 3 lookouts to be staffed, Point Prominence, Johnson Rock and Mule Peak. Lookout services include detecting and reporting smokes or fires within and adjacent to the La Grande Ranger District, to monitor and relay radio messages, observe and report state of weather, ie., thunderstorms, and take weather readings when requested. The Government may require lookout services 7 day per week. Normal daily duty hours will be 0900-1800. The Government may require services outside of the normal daily duty hours, which may be up to all hours of the day when visibility is sufficient to perform lookout services. Minor facilities maintenance shall be performed by the contractor at the option of the Government using Government-furnished supplies and equipment. This is an IDIQ contract with 2 option years and the contractor may chose to quote on providing the services at one or all three lookouts.
