- Sources Sought Synopsis The 95th Contracting Squadron, Edwards Air Force base CA 93524 is seeking potential sources capable of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to perform all operations necessary in connection with providing exterior and interior painting of various base facilities, including water tanks and fuel tanks located on the main base and housing areas on Edwards AFB. All paint, material, equipment and supervision to perform surface preparation, asbestos abatement, lead-based paint abatement; and associated sampling and testing of materials to determine the presence of asbestos or lead. All painting work shall be performed in accordance with manufacturers' specifications, applicable federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations, Edwards Air Force Base design standards, and industry standards. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this effort is 238320. It is anticipated that a firm fixed-price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract will be awarded with a performance period of five years. The total magnitude of this contract is estimated between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 dollars. Contract award is estimated to take place in September 2009. This sources sought synopsis is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation for bids/proposals. Responses will assist the Government in determining whether to set-aside/restrict competition in some way or solicit offers from all responsible sources. It is the Government's intention to attract, solicit, and ultimately make a single award to an 8(a) contractor in Region IX (California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, and Guam).
