Description
SECTION 2.0 OBJECTIVE:Accomplish reconditioning of One 19 Foot Barrier Boat (BB) Hull Number 19BB0201. This reconditioning includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of broken or obsolete components, repair of damaged hull mounted D-rubber, preservation of engine, marine gear, shafting, steering system, propeller, electrical system grooming, system grooming, and painting.SECTION 3.0 AREA OF PERFORMANCE: Contractor's Facility.SECTION 4.0 SCOPE OF WORK:4.1The below listed work items shall be accomplished In Accordance With (IAW) the reference listed in paragraph 4.23. All name brand items called out in the reference may be substituted with an "or equal" item provided that a condition report listing all the specifications, characteristics, and properties of that item compared to the name brand item is approved by the TPOC/COR prior to use. Contractor shall pay close attention to location of components requiring replacement. All new components are to be installed in place of removed components. Reference A provides master parts list. 4.3Transport: 4.3.5Transport the boat from Naval Submarine Base, Groton, CT Pier 2 to contractor's facility and return to Naval Submarine Base, Groton, CT upon completion of work. Pilothouse will have to be removed in order to transport. All wiring, cabling and disconnected components are to be identified for reconnection. The contractor will be responsible for rigging, crane and trucking services associated with the pick-up and re-delivery of the boat. The boat measures approximately 19 feet long and 10 feet wide. The hoisting weight is approximately 22,000lbs. Notify CCD TPOC/COR 48 hours prior to pick-up of the boat and delivery back to Naval Submarine Base Groton, CT.
