- Synopsis or Description This is a Source Selection Best Value Solicitation to provide for a Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC), General Painting Requirements, supporting base wide facilities and infrastructure to Government facilities by means of an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity MACC for various facilities in the North Carolina area. Multiple indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contracts (MACC) for painting projects in North Carolina will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Task orders issued under this MACC will be design bid build. The performance period for each contract will include an initial base period of twelve months with four (4) twelve-month option periods for a total performance period of sixty months. There is no maximum annual value for this contract. For the total performance period (base plus all options) total estimated painting costs for all contracts will not exceed a total value of $100,000,000. The minim! um guarantee is $5,000 per contract over the full term of the contract to include option years. Typical projects will have an estimated construction cost between $100,000 up to $1,000,000. There will be a seed project included in this solicitation. SEED PROJECT: The request for proposal will include an initial 100% design bid build seed project, Repaint Interior/Exterior Surfaces to Building 1005, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. The work includes painting the interior and exterior previously painted and EFIS surfaces of the building to provide like new painted surfaces. The seed project shall be issued as a task order to one of the selected contractors whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. After award of the seed project, the selected contractors will complete on subsequent task order projects. Award factors will vary depending on the unique requirements for each project; however, pricing will be weighted heavily. Each awarded task order will be firm fixed priced. The approximate Solicitation Release Date is 24 MAR 2009. This solicitation is available in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet.
