Description
This synopsis was prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 5.207. The US Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD 21005 has a requirement to procure Rapidly Deployable Wireless Mid-Range Day/Night Thermal Imager Systems, spare parts and repair, initial training on the use, care and maintenance of the system, and Army Test and Evaluation Center (ATEC) testing and support, if applicable. This requirement is in support of the Rapid Equipping Force and the overall objective is to provide fully operational System(s) in accordance with the physical, and functional salient characteristics outlined in the Statement of Work. The US Army RDECOM Contracting Center intends to solicit an unrestricted competitive procurement, and anticipates the award of an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)type contract with Firm-Fixed Price and Time and Material Contract Line Items. This is not a request for proposals (RFP); requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this notice no later than 24 March 2009. To request a copy of the technical requirements or submit additional questions regarding the requirement, in order to develop your response to this notice, email lisa.j.yamakawa@us.army.mil. Responses to this notice must be; submitted via email to the POC identified above or hard copy mailed to US Army RDECOM CC, CCRD-AP-CO (Yamakawa), 4118 Susquehanna Avenue. The Government anticipates posting RFP W91CRB-09-R-0028 on Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website on or about 24 March 2009. The Government reserves the right not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice.
