Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Veterans Affairs Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Region (VISN 6) Central Acquisition Service intends to enter into a sole source procurement with Philips Medical Systems, 22100 Bothell Everett Hwy, Bothell, WA 98041. The item being purchased is a service agreement on a Philips Intra MR System including operator console, magnet, electronics cabinets and patient support. NAICS code 811219 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement. This notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement are to submit information to: Dori Dabbs, Contract Specialist, at dori.dabbs2@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. If no response is received by March 21 2009 9:00AM EST, specifying that comparable service is available that would be more advantageous to the government than obtaining the service through a sole source procurement with Philips Medical Systems, a sole source award will be made. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
