- SRP Photo - view from bow SRP Photo - view from beam SRP Request for Information Questionnaire This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the United States Coast Guard (U.S. Coast Guard) Engineering Logistics Center in support of the Deepwater Modernization Program as a means of conducting market research regarding the state of the market for services to modify Zodiac H770 Short Range Prosecutor (SRP) boats and their respective trailers for use on the National Security Cutter. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Unsolicited Proposal, or as an obligation or intent by the U.S. Coast Guard to acquire any products and/or services. The USCG does not intend to award a contract as a result of this RFI or otherwise pay for the requested information. The purpose of this RFI is to collect available market information that will be used to assist the USCG in evaluating its options related to this requirement. The information requested is intended to include, but not be limited to, engineering and operational design details, boat developmental/modification history, user contacts and other information that would be helpful for making modifications to the SRP boats. Submission of a response to this RFI is entirely voluntary. The voluntary submission of a response to this RFI shall not obligate the U.S. Coast Guard to pay or entitle the submitter of information to claim any direct or indirect costs or charges or any other remuneration whatsoever. The U.S. Coast Guard understands that any pricing information submitted under this RFI is an estimate only and is not binding nor constitutes a proposal. Modifications being considered are as follows: • Install lifting points to facilitate lifting the SRP with a gantry crane and a davit. • Modify the SRP bow post to support proper interface with the parent cutter stern launch and recover system. • Install navigation and communication systems in the existing console. • Reconfigure the SRP 120VAC AND 12VDC system. • Perform maintenance on all SRP systems and equipment, prepare for operation and conduct sea trials to verify performance. The SRP boats that will be modified are located at the Coast Guard Yard, Baltimore, Maryland. Interested contractors are invited to review the attached photos of a U.S. Coast Guard SRP as an illustration of the vessel’s dimensions, and fill out the research questionnaire. Responses to this RFI can be submitted to Ms. Lahkeisha Leach via e-mail at lahkeisha.m.leach@uscg.mil or via fax at (410) 762-6120. All responses are due by 5:00 pm (EST), March 20, 2009. Responses shall state, if interested, the name and telephone number of a point of contact having the authority and knowledge to discuss responses with Government representatives.
