- FISC Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire online, accredited continuing medical education training to Navy Reserve medical personnel on a sole source basis with Swank Motion Picture Services, Inc., 10795 Watson Road, Saint Louis, MO. The proposed purchase is for a one-year subscription (plus two, one-year renewal subscriptions) for a fully accredited, distance learning, continuing education program via the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days per week in support of all the Navy's Medical Corps, which include: Dental, Medical, Nurse, and Medical Service Corps. The subscription covers education and training in major hospital staff elements including, but not limited to the following: Administration, Dental, EMS/EMT, Medical Records, Clinical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Nursing Assistant/Aid, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician, Physician (Ethics), Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Social Worker. A Firm F! ixed Price Commercial Items Purchase Order is anticipated in accordance with the simplified acquisition Test Program procedures set forth at FAR Part 13.5. The proposed contract action, which will consist of a one-year base period and two one-year options, is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
