CONTACT INFORMATIONIS WITHIN THE BODY OF THIS SYNOPSIS******* NASA/NSSC has a requirement for a course entitled General Purpose Platform, VxWorksEdition 3.4 for New Users. The objective of the training is to improve the ability oflearners at Dryden Flight Research Center to develop, run, and manage VxWorks Edition 3.4application software. This training will provide learners with a fast, cost-effective wayto acquire the knowledge necessary to develop safety-critical applications with the WindRiver VxWorks Edition 3.4 Platform. The vendor shall be responsible for providing alltraining materials to include software and any training books or workbooks necessary. The vendor shall conduct one 4-day session to cover General Purpose Platform and VxWorksEdition 3.4 for New Users. Training shall be held at NASAs Dryden Flight ResearchCenter on March 24-27, 2009NASA/NSSC intends to purchase the training course from Wind River Systems, Inc., 500 WindRiver Way, Alameda, CA 94501. Pursuant to FAR 13.106, the acquisition of this trainingcourse has been determined to be reasonably available from only one source andcompetition is impractical.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon March 11, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, whichshall be considered by the agency.Capabilities and qualifications should be submitted to Megan Willis atMegan.M.Willis@nasa.gov.
