- Description
- The Idaho Panhandle National Forest; Priest Lake Idaho Pend Oreille County, Washington. This project is for the replacement of two existing culvert crossings at the Stagger Inn Campground. One crossing consists of removing two (2) existing 3’6” X 2’3” corrugated steel squash culverts and replacing them with a new prestressed precast concrete single span bridge. The other crossing requires the removal of an existing 30” corrugated steel culvert and replacing it with a 60” diameter corrugated steel culvert. The work includes but is not limited to erosion control measures, roadway and structural excavation, removing and disposing existing metal culverts, compaction, riprap, roadway surfacing, furnishing and erecting prestressed concrete beams, furnishing and erecting precast concrete grade beams, installing a corrugated metal culvert, backfilling, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Stagger Inn can be reached by taking SH57 north from Priest River, Idaho 36.5 miles to Nordman, Idaho. Continue north another 3.7 miles to the end of the pavement at the junction with Road 638. Continue north on Road 302 another 8.9 miles to the Roosevelt Grove of Ancient Cedars, AKA Stagger Inn. Turn left off of Road 302 onto Road 1154. The project site is approximately 1/4 mile in at the trail head and picnic area. This project is located Road 1154 in Section 26, Township 38 North, Range 45 East, in Pend Oreille County, Washington. A Fixed Price Construction contract that requires the Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, supplies, supervision, and incidentals necessary to achieve the objectives. Davis Bacon wage rates will apply. Government Estimate is between $100,000.00 - $250,000.00 Estimated start work approximately early May 2009 for ordering concrete bridge components for 2009 completion. On site work is anticipated for September 1st through October 30th of 2009 or September 1st through October 30th 2010. On site construction must be completed during the construction year selected.
