Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for the replacement of the existing boiler blow-off piping in the Boiler Plant located at the VA Palo Alto Health Care.System (VAPAHCS), 3801 Miranda Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94304. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, tools, equipment, and supervision to perform the service. The requirement entails replacing the blow-off line (1 1/2" schedule 80 piping/fittings and " schedule 80 pipe/fittings) from the flange of the tank to both bottom valve flanges on each of three boilers. The job will be done in three phases to minimize the disruption of service. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% set-aside for Small Businesses (SB). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238220. The size standard for this NAICS code is $14 million. The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract. The solicitation release date is February 27, 2009. The solicitation will be available solely through FedBizOpps. The RFQ will be issued under solicitation number VA-261-RQ-0103. The solicitation and any related documents for this procurement will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via the internet at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) www.fedbizopps.gov. All interested parties must have a Dun and Bradstreet Number, Federal Identification Number (FID), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), and if veteran owned registered in the Veteran Information Pages at www.VETBIZ.GOV.
