- Optometry Brunswick Job Corps Center operated for the U.S. Department of Labor by MTC (Management Training Corporation) is accepting bids for a qualified licensed optometrist to provide optometry services for youth ranging ages 16-24. Patients will include all students with refractive errors of 20/40 on the Snellen chart and/or J/6 or worse on the Jaeger or similar chart as determined by the on-site wellness center. Full and thorough eye examinations are required and must include inspections for glasses, replace broken lenses, and adjustment as well as frame repair will also be necessary. Contact lenses fitting must also be provided in rare cases when improvement on vision would be substantially greater than that achieved from glasses. All eyeglasses must meet American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards. All bids must be returned in a sealed envelope (fax bids are not acceptable) by close of business Friday, March 27, 2009 at 5 p.m. eastern standard time. Only Bids from direct service providers will be accepted. Staffing agencies are excluded from this procurement. Bid packages are attached and may be downloaded from from this site.
