The Government proposes to acquire, on a sole source basis from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando, Cage Code 04969. This requirement is for six Charged Coupled Device (CCD) Cameras, less the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) chips and sensor heads, which have been previously procured for the Hellenic Army (Greece). The CDD camera is a component of the Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (TADS/PNVS) and Modernized TADS/PNVS (M-TADS/PNVS) for the Apache Attack Helicopter. The Government intends to award a contract under the authority and justification for Other than Full and Open Competition of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), based on the determination that the Government needs can only be satisfied by one source. Only Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando possesses the technical expertise, data and experience necessary to execute this requirement.
