Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01. All applicable wage rates will apply. Quotes are due on 5 March 2009 by 2:00 PM CST. Quotes can be faxed to 501-324-5196. Lump Sum Payment will be issued by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or by Government Credit Card. All bidders must be CCR registered at https://www.fbo.gov prior to receiving an award and payment by EFT. If you are not registered you must accept payment by credit card and provide your Duns & Bradstreet number and Federal Tax Id number. Solicitation No. W9127S-09-T-0060 DIVISION 1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS SECTION 01010 SUMMARY OF WORK The work consists of performing a load test on a 75 ton main hoist hook and nut for the turbine bay bridge crane. The work will be completed when a certificate is delivered to the Government. SECTION 01040 COORDINATION.U.S. Army Corps of Engineers P.O. Box 867 Little Rock, AR. 72203 SECTION 01300 SUBMITTALS A. REPORT AND CERTIFICATE: The Contractor shall submit the Report and Certificate within 15 days of load test. The Government shall have up to 15 days to review and approve or disapprove submittals. The following shall be submitted: Load Test Report....................... report, certificate DIVISION 11 SPECILITY The hook shall be load tested at 125% of its load rating. Load shall be raised and lowered a minimum of ten feet with a 5 minute stop in each direction. Hooks shall be measured for hook throat spread before and after load test. A throat dimension base measurement shall be established by installing two tram points and measuring the distance between these tram points (to within 1/64 inch). This base dimension shall be recorded. The distance between tram points shall be measured before and after the load test. All test or trials shall be made in accordance with SECTION 01300. Results of the test shall be submitted as soon as practicable after the tests are made. All cost of all test and trials, excepting the pay and expense of the Government Inspector, shall be borne by the Contractor and shall be included in the contract price of these specifications. - - o O o - -
