Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA)WANTS TO LEASE SPACE VA desires to lease a minimum of 64,391 net usable square feet of space for use as an Administrative office space for researchers in the Palo Alto and Mountain View areas. The space shall be provided by a modification of existing space. It may be on more than one floor but must be contiguous. On-site parking for 250 vehicles is required. A lease for up to 20 years will be considered, however the minimum firm term will be at least 5 years, with options up to 5 years. Sites on or in close proximity to public transportation are preferred. To be considered, offered property must be located within the following delineated area within the cities of Palo Alto and Mountain View, California: The northern boundary shall be from the intersection of Interstate Highway 280 (I-280) and Sandhill Road, continuing easterly along Sandhill Road to Alma Street, veering onto Embarcadero Road to US Hwy 101; the eastern boundary is US Hwy 101 from Embarcadero Road to San Antonio Road, the southern boundary is San Antonio Road from US Hwy 101 to El Camino Real; and the western boundary is from the intersection of San Antonio Road and El Camino Real, continuing northerly along El Camino Real to Arastradero Road then continuing westerly along Arastradero Road to I-280 and along I-280 from Arastradero Road to Sandhill Road. Offerors must provide evidence that offered properties are outside the 100-year flood plain and contain no wetlands. Brokers or legal representatives submitting property must show written acknowledgement and permission to represent the property. Property owners and developers must provide written proof of ownership or control of property at the time of submission of initial bids. A market survey of offered properties will be conducted by VA staff and broker consultant. Interested Offerors (owners, developers, brokers, or their legal representatives) should submit information concerning their properties to the following person and address in writing, via e-mail, or via fax not later than 4:00 P.M., PST, Friday, March 19, 2009.
