Description
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina intends to award, on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, a contract to LIJO, INC. The Fire and Emergency Services Division needs an all wheel drive vehicle capable to support and carry a mobile fire fighting skid unit for the control and extinguishment of wild land fires. The weight of the mobile fire fighting skid unit requires the vehicle to be at least one (1) ton capacity. The vehicle will need all wheel drive because of the varied terrain encountered during wild land fire fighting. This vehicle is essential for the Fort Bragg Fire and Emergency Services Division to perform its mission at Camp Mackall. The Fire and Emergency Services Division is currently leasing a vehicle from LIJO, INC. There has been modifications made to the vehicle to support the mission. To transfer the equipment to another vehicle would be a duplication of cost to the government. This is not a Request for Competitive Proposals. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If you feel your firm possesses the ability to provide these supplies, then you must respond by demonstrating your firms technical capability to meet the requirements. If no affirmative written response is received, the supplies will be awarded without further notice. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the email address provided below no later than March 5, 2009, 12:00 pm local time. Point of contact for this notice is Nikki Smith, claudetta.smith@conus.army.mil
