The devices are for use specifically on the Authority’s 750V direct current (DC) contact rail systems to detect the presence of voltage between the contact rail (3rd rail) and the negative return running rail. After approval and acceptance of the first article testing the first order of a minimum of 400 of the voltage testing devices will become due. The contract duration is approximately 3 years and Bids are due April 1, 2009. Electronic copies of the specifications will be available on or about Wednesday March 4, 2009 by contracting the Contract Administrator, Mr. Nichel Crooks, ncrooks@wmata.com or (202) 962-1440.
