- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N40442-09-T-5273, and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-29. NAICS 811310 applies. The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program is not applicable. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Norfolk, VA intends to award firm fixed price purchase for SOR DEGAUSSING UPGRADE for the USNS RICHARD E. BYRD. Only services of an EMS Development Corp OEM Rep will be accepted. If offer other than and EMS OEM REP will not be accepted. UPGRADE DEGAUSSING SYSTEM 1.0ABSTRACT: This item describes upgrading the degaussing system. 2.0REFERENCES: None 3.0ITEM LOCATION/QUANTITY/DESCRIPTION: 3.1Location: Various 3.2Quantity: 43 Amplifier Boards 4.0GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIAL (GFM): None 5.0NOTES: 5.1Prior to initiating any work on the electrical system, de-energize and tag-out all sources of electrical power to the circuits involved in this work item in accordance with standard electrical safety practices.
