Description
Note- this synopsis follows a Sources Sought notice that was released on October 31, 2008 under Sources Sought Notice No. SS-PCPSB-81010-69. The National Cancer Institute, Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) is soliciting proposals for a program entitled; Biomedical Computing Support for the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences. The required service is defined as code 541511 under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). The proposed contract is a 100% Set-Aside for small business concerns. For the purpose of this procurement a small business is classified as small with a size standard of no more than $25,000,000 average receipts per annum. The object of this acquisition will be to provide computer systems analysis, programming, data management, data analysis, statistical reporting, and documentation services for research efforts primarily or secondarily conducted by the NCI Applied Research Program (ARP) and NCI Surveillance Research Program (SRP) (approximately 95% of the total), with a smaller portion (approximately 5% of the total) supporting the remaining Programs or overall project management of DCCPS. Offerors must demonstrate the ability to be available to interact on a daily basis with the Project Officers and NCI staff for meetings, as well as receipt and delivery of data, reports, and documents to the NCI. The subject acquisition is a recompetition of the existing DCCPS Biomedical Computing Support contract, which was awarded in September, 2002 for a duration of seven years. This contract (N02-PC-25001) is presently held by Information Management Services, Inc. of Silver Spring, MD. There are no changes in regards to the required services of the current contract versus those of this new acquisition in terms of the general areas of support. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on or before, March 12, 2009 through the web site at http://FedBizOpps.gov. All responses must be submitted on or before April 13, 2009, to: Sheronda Pryor, Contracting Officer, address (if sending by overnight carrier, use 6120 Executive Blvd., Room 6004, Rockville, MD 20852). Fully electronic copies will not be accepted, but portions of the proposal may be provided on disc. The reference number to be used for this announcement is: RFP N02-PC-85018-55. All correspondence must cite the reference number as provided.
