Description
The U.S. Department of Labor/OASAM is seeking qualified Contractors to provide construction services for the modernization of Buildings 1, 2 and 3 at the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are looking for firms that qualify under the Small Business Programs mentioned in Subpart 19 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. When submitting your response, please indicate under which program you meet the criteria. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are small businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The work involves the renovation of an existing four-story, mixed use facility, including exterior walls renovation and utilities improvements (Building 1); the renovation of an existing two-story Auditorium Building, including exterior walls renovation (Building 2), and the renovation of an existing two-story Gymnasium Building, including exterior walls renovation, addition of a new elevator, and utilities improvements (Building 3). The work in Buildings 1, 2 and 3 will also require the following: partial removal/demolition work, asbestos abatement and new construction at the buildings and related site work; concrete, masonry, structural steel, aluminum windows, aluminum entrance, roofing, metal roofing and metal wall panel system, metal stud framing, interior doors and frames, hardware, glazing, interior finishes, millwork and pre-fabricated cabinetry, toilet room accessories, window treatment, signage, new hydraulic elevator as well as plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and electrical power lighting systems. Phasing of construction activities will be required to maintain continuous operations at the Center. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAISC) is 236220 and the Small Business Standard is $33.5 million.
