- This sources sought notice will serve as a Request for Information by the Government for planning purposes. This sources sought neither constitutes a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor should it be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This sources sought also does not constitute a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor to reimburse any costs incurred as a result of the notice. The Government is seeking companies with the capabilities to supply and/or perform the following items for 325 existing Government owned tents at Camp Buehring, Kuwait: 1. The contractor shall provide, either by lease or sale (of which is still to be determined by the Government) 240/415V 50HZ generators for the tents. Contractor will be responsible for delivery and installation of the generators. Each of the 325 tents shall be supplied with enough power to operate, at a minimum, lights, ECU and 20 each 13 amp electrical outlets. The generators shall be capable of operating at least 48 hours at a full load before requiring refuel. Additional information on the generator requirement will be included in the subsequent solicitation. 2. The contractor shall provide maintenance for the leased or purchased generators in each of the 325 tents. 3. The contractor shall provide ECU/HVAC maintenance for the 325 tents. The contractor will also conduct maintenance on all associated ECU equipment, including but not limited to, compressors, filters, air and heat ducts and fans. 4. The contractor shall provide maintenance on the 325 tent structures. This includes, but is not limited to, re-positioning tents that have shifted or blown over, repairing any part of the tent that has sustained damage, inspection of all fire extinguishers within the tent structures, and replace/repair of any wiring issues identified during routine maintenance. Contractors performing any of these services will be responsible for all necessary badging, visa and country entrance requirements. The Government is in the acquisition planning phase and has not made a determination on the contract type vehicle. It is anticipated that contractors will be required to have the capability of performing all services above to be considered for potential award. Interested companies who have the necessary capabilities for any of the above tent installations or maintenance should respond by emailing the Contracting POC at beth.m.white@us.army.mil, and identify your company, identify a POC (name, phone number and email address) and provide a brief document, no longer than 3 pages, stating your general ability to provide the services listed above, including any current customers for similar services and any possible partnering.
