Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Procurement and Grants Office (PGO) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain a specimen repository to store biologic samples from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES). This is a perfomance based contract with a base year and 4 option years. A single award will result from this solicitation, with a firm-fixed price contract. The contractor shall provide any and all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, and licenses necessary to store and retrieve theses samples. The contractor shall also receive eight (8) government owned freezers containing approximately 179,690 specimens, re-inventory these specimens, establish and maintain the electronic inventory, and receive specimens from the current NHANES contract laboratories on a flow basis. The NAICS code is 541380. The size standard is $12.0 million. The tentative RFP issue date is on or about 03/20/2009, with a 30 day closing. The RFP documents will be available electronically at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFP number 2009-N-11109. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Note: Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) HTTP://WWW.CCR.GOV in order to be eligible for award.
