- Whereas the Naval Research Laboratory Contracting Officer received questions from potential offerors, the purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions received from potential offerors and to revise the solicitation. 1Q: Are there more details regarding the required flushing blocks? 1A: No. 2Q: Are there more details regarding the flushing procedures? 2A: Yes; however the documentation is marked proprietary by the Original Equipment Manufacturer. 3Q: Are the flushing blocks and filters part of the HPU scope of supply? 3A: Yes. 4Q: If so what servo valves are used on the flight simulator? 4A: All are MOOG G761-3603. 5Q: Are the flushing procedures already in place? 5A: Yes. 6Q: Does NRL have a preference on the Status display of the HPU (Visual gages vs. Analog sensors with panel digital readouts)? 6A: No. 7Q: If analog sensors are preferred is there a desire by NRL to incorporate this information into the MADES DR3200 Digital controls systems. 7A: Not applicable. 8Q: You reference the Interface to the CTS TAFS MADES DR3200 digital control electronics. There is a Motor Starter Control and ( 4 ) HPU interlocks. Are these interlocks already incorporated into the Digital control system, or do they have to be implemented by the contractor? If these items must be implemented by the contractor then a set of electrical schematics & I/O of the existing system should be submitted by NRL. 8A: Refer to Attachment (1) Specifications, page 4 of 10, 'Interface to CTS TAFS MADES DR3200’. No MADES Schematics are needed. 9Q: Is there a point of contact for additional questions regarding the MADES DR3200 Electronic system? 9A: CARCO Electronics 10Q: Since the site visit was only on Friday February 20th and there are still outstanding questions regarding this RFQ is it possible to get an extension until March 6th? 10A: The response date for proposals is February 27, 2009, 3:00 p.m., local time.
