Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This request for quotation (RFQ MIPRF3NF018339GC01) is being issued by DITCO-EUROPE, Unit 4235, Box 375, APO AE 09136-5375. The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-30 and DAC 91-13. The proposed acquisition will result in a Firm Fixed Price commercial item type contract in accordance with the procedures detailed in FAR 13.5. NAICS code 334220 applies. Description of requirement: The government has a requirement for Microwave equipment, LTI Datacomm Eclipse, brand name or equal. Requested is a Line-Of-Sight Microwave Radio System for operation in the UK with a frequency of 4440MHZ in one direction and 4740MHZ in the other direction and a path length of 12 KM. The Throughput Capacity of the system must be a minimum of an OC-3 with Interface Options of DS1, E1, and Gigabit Ethernet.
