- CAUTION: This request for information (RFI) shall not be construed as a formal solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. At this time there are no funds allocated or set aside for the procurement of such future acquisition. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary and at no cost to the Government. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and the Government's use of such information. Respondents of this RFI may be requested to provide additional information/details based on their initial submittals and/or capability briefing. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541511 applies to this acquisition with a size standard of $25,000,000.00. NORAD/NORTHCOM (N/NC) is seeking information concerning capabilities for a Command Portal Calendar (CPC). The CPC shall be an automated web-based calendar with ability to track command-wide events and the availability of senior leadership. Exercise, conferences, holidays, Distinguished Visitor (DV) visits, and internal and external events shall be tracked as well as TDY absences and personal leave for senior leadership. The capability shall include functionality/user interface, briefing displays and custom reports. Calendar Functionality/User Interface: 1. CPC shall be a web part versus a standalone software application with web interface 2. CPC shall be compatible with Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, Internet Explorer 2007, SharePoint Server 2003 and Microsoft Share Point Server 2007 3. CPC shall reside on the N/NC unclassified network 4. Users shall be able to enter internal events, external events, conferences, exercises, holidays, DV visits, TDY's and leave 5. Events shall be displayed and color-coded 6. CPC shall have a comment field with a maximum of 1000 characters 7. Users shall be able to access and modify the calendar simultaneously 8. CPC shall allow only certain users to have read-only access 9. CPC shall allow select users the ability to add, modify and delete data 10. CPC shall be able to hyperlink documents to calendar entries 11. CPC shall have a monthly and weekly calendar view 12. CPC shall ensure all events are archived in a database for future retrieval 13. CPC shall allow users to search the events database and create custom reports Briefing Displays 1. CPC shall allow briefing calendars with font size large enough to be viewed from a distance of twelve feet 2. CPC shall allow events to be displayed in priority order by color code. 3. CPC shall be able be able to display two weeks of events. Custom Reports 1. CPC shall have the ability to customize reports so that the x-axis be labeled with the days of the month and the Y axis be labeled with different directorates (minimum35) 2. CPC shall have the capability for the report data to be exported directly into an excel spreadsheet. Instructions for Potential Offerors: All interested parties shall submit (Attachment 1), Contractor Visit & Discussion Agreement and a capability package not to exceed 10 pages no later than 1500 MST, 24 February 2009 to the following Government Point of Contacts (POC): Primary - Major Debra Draughon (719) 554-7838 - debra.draughon@northcom.mil Alternate - Lt Col Leonard Meyers (719) 554-4944 - leonard.meyers@northcom.mil Interested parties will be contacted by the government no later than 1500 MST 25 February 2009 to schedule a capability briefing presentation not to exceed 30 Minutes on the 26th or the 27th of February 2009 at Peterson AFB, CO 80914. Primary and/or alternate POC will provide base access details at time of scheduling capability presentation. FAR 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) is applicable to this RFI (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal.
