Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This request is an announcement for information/market research for planning purposes. The synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The 377th Contracting Squadron, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, is seeking potential sources to provide: One (1) Pulsed 500kWatt Universal Magnetron Power Supply with the following characteristics: Peak output power up to 500kWatts Frequency range: determined by magnetron procured separately Duty cycle: 0.001 Cathode voltage: -10 kV to -36 kV Beam current: 0 to 40 amps Pulse width range: continuously adjustable 0.2 to 2 us, with a goal of 0.1 to 5 us Pulse repetition frequency: continuously adjustable 0 to 5 kHz Pulse control via externally supplied 5 Volts into 50 ohms RF rise time: 0.15 us, with a goal of 0.05 RF fall time: 0.2 us, with a goal of 0.05 Pulse to pulse amplitude variation: 0.2 db Pulse droop: 1 dB Remote interface: RS 232 or RS 422 Cooling: internal forced air Prime power: 3 phase 208 or 480 VAC, 60 Hz Weight and dimensions: any Operating temperature: 0 to 40 C Altitude: up to 10,000 feet Magnetron protection features: Arc energy limit, over duty cycle, HVPS over current, filament voltage high/low, reflected power trip input Front panel controls: power on/off, operate, standby, fault reset, local/remote Setup and acceptance at Kirtland Air Force Base THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPORSALS (RFP).
