- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Two pair of dark fiber.ITEM #1 Two pair of dark fiber from University of Maryland Computer & Space Sciences Bldg CollegePark Bldg 224 to NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, Building 1 and extends it to theirfiber patch panel in building 32 room N013BITEM #2Six (6)Two pair of dark fiber from University of Maryland Computer & Space Sciences BldgCollege Park Bldg 224 to NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, Building 1 and extends it totheir fiber patch panel in building 32 room N013BNASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from FiberGate, Inc.pursuant to FAR 13.106 for the acquisition of supplies or services determine to bereasonably from one source.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities statement to perform the effortin writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on02/26/2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
