Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The Headquarters (HQ) Air Combat Command (ACC) Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC), Air and Space Operations Acquisition Division, Langley AFB, Virginia 23606, hereby formally announces the intent to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to FlightSafety International Inc., for a total period of one (1) basic year and two (2) option years. The contractor will provide all services necessary for KingAir 350/350ER (aka MC-12) pilot initial qualification training. The proposed contract action is for MC-12 pilot initial qualification training for which the Air Force intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. The contractor will provide technical, non-personal services, flight simulators, real property facilities, and any support equipment and material necessary to enable DoD pilots to successfully pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) simulator flight examination in the KingAir 350/350ER FAA type rating. The required avionics package for this training is the Proline 21. All flight training and examination will be accomplished in a Level D simulator. The contractor will also provide technical, non-personal services, real property facilities and any support equipment and material necessary to provide all graduates of the initial qualification training with an academics only EFIS 85 difference course that educates the pilots in the differences between the EFIS 85 and Proline 21 instrument systems. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 611512 with a size standard of $25,500,000.00. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only. It is neither a request nor a solicitation for offers. This is not a Request for Quote. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
