Description
Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center Fort Sam Houston (MICC C-FSH), is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide complete storage services for the Department of the Army (DA), Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Privately Owned Vehicles (POVs) belonging to U.S. Army active military Service Members, to include Army National Guard and Army Reserve, that are deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). The POV storage services will be provided to Schofield Barracks HI to ensure that Service Members who require POV storage during deployment have the ability to obtain such storage to safeguard their POVs and ensure prompt recovery after such deployments are completed. A need has been identified for a common level of service for POV storage at all identified installations for the proper storage care and return of POVs to the Service Members. The contractor is responsible for POV in-processing, storage, security, maintenance, out-processing and liability claims. POV Vehicle Processing Centers (VPCs), which include in-processing and out-processing of POVs, shall be in close proximity to Schofield Barracks HI. The distance between the physical storage site and the contractors VPC is unrestricted, but the Contractor must be able to meet the POV delivery and out-processing time as required by the Performance Work Statement. The contract type will be an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity type contract with a 120-day phase-in period, an eight month base period and four 1-year option periods. The the solicitation will be issued/posted to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) on or about 19 March 2009. A telephonic Pre-Proposal Conference will be conducted, the date and time will be provided in the solicitation. The size standard is $25,500,000.
