- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid Atlantic, is seeking eligible business firms interested in the following type of work: Engineering and Design Services are required for an Indefinite Quantity Contract for Multi-Discipline Projects located in the Hampton Roads Area, Virginia. Typical projects may involve the following; analysis/repair/renovation/alteration/ replacement/demolition/new construction of the following systems/structures- aircraft facilities such as hangers, control towers, maintenance buildings, cargo storage, fire support building, etc.; personnel support facilities such as barracks, gymnasiums, administration buildings, training & recreation facilities, family housing, etc.; industrial type facilities such as shop buildings, warehouses, small plants, maintenance buildings, etc.; security facilities such as guard houses/towers, pass & ID buildings, etc.; medical/dental buildings; and waterfront facilities such as piers, wharves, quay walls, bulkheads, and associated support structuresArchitect-Engineering and Engineering Services may be required for preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, related studies, field investigations, (including above and below water inspections), geotechnical investigations, field surveys, fire protection, and all associated engineering services, LEED certification (manage and administer the USGBC LEED Certification process, from design to occupancy, in accordance with USGBC requirements for LEED Silver Rating), shop drawing review, as-built drawing preparation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) preparation (provides construction contract inspection requirements), Operation and Maintenance Support Information (OMSI), construction inspection and engineering consultation services during construction for several projects of a multi-discipline nature. The Government will reserve an option to negotiate final plans, specifications, cost estimates, related studies, all associated engineering services, and all post constructi! on award services for all projects All interested firms are encouraged to respond. Upon review of industry response to this Sources Sought Synopsis, the Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. This office anticipates award of a contract for these services no later than June 2008. The appropriate NAICS Codes are 541310 and 541330. This contract will be for a base year and 4 option years with a contract limit of $5,000,000. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested businesses submit to the Contracting Officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more th! an 25 pages in length, singled-spaced, 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services. This documentation shall address, as a minimum, the following: (1) Relevant Experience to include experience in performing efforts of Architect Engineering work as described above. (2) Company profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE Code, and a statement indicating whether your firm is a small business or a large business. RESPONSES ARE DUE ON Thursday, 26 February 2009 by 2:00 PM. LATE RESPONSES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
