Description
The project consists essentially of, but is not limited to the following: Work to consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials for the construction work at McChord AFB, WA. The following items are a brief summary of the project and are provided solely for the purpose of revealing the general nature of the work involved. The Contractor is responsible for accomplishing all items of work in accordance with the applicable drawings, specifications and provisions of the contract. Any sundry labor, materials, equipment and/or appurtenances not specifically detailed or specified, but required to complete the project, shall be provided as an integral part of scope of work hereinafter specified. Construct fueling truck parking pads adjacent to the FOXTROT ramp aircraft parking stalls. Each pad shall be approximately 400-SF, and triangular to allow vehicle egress. Two options for the pavement are provided; a hot mix asphalt pavement option and a Portland cement concrete pavement option. Only one option will be used and constructed, based on proposed unit prices. Pavement markings: Remove existing aircraft parking stripes and apply new markings in the center of each pad. Placement of required barriers and installation of temporary gates for flightline and construction security. This is a unit price contract with an option for PCC Pavement in lieu of HMA Pavement. No paving will be permitted prior to 15 April for weather exclusions, unless approved by the Contracting Officer. All airfield pavements shall be available for use to the Air Force during this time. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310. The approximate issue date will be on or before 10 March 2009 with an approximate response date of 9 April 2009. The solicitation is a Request for Proposal and will be issued on an unrestricted basis. All firms must be registered with the Contractor Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for award. The solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Estimated on-site construction contract performance period is 30 calendar days. All responsible offers will be considered by the agency. The project magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. The entire solicitation, including the specifications, will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the FBO website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 62 CONS. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code). Telephone and fax requests will not be honored. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number, register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR), and register with Online Representation and Certifications Application (OCRA) Website (www.orca.bpn.gov) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DoD). Failure to obtain a DUNS number, register in the CCR, and register with ORCA may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the CCR and/or ORCA at the time of award. The closing date and time of submission of offers will be contained within the solicitation package. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained by this office.
