Type of Acquisition: New Manufactured Spares. 4. AMC: 2C - Suitable for first time competition; Engineering source approval necessary to maintain quality. 5. Acquisition contains two line items with different NSNs. Line Item 0001 Noun: LH Bracket Mount; Line Item 0002 Noun: RH Bracket Mount. 6. Line Item 0001 NSN: 5340-01-559-5987; Line Item 0002 NSN: 5340-01-559-5726. 7. Line Item 0001 P/N 25-6457-1; Line Item 0002 P/N 25-6457-2. 8. Description: Line Item 0001: Function: Provides support for the cable tension regulator; Dimensions: L - 9.5" x W - 5.5" x H - 9"; Weight: 1 LB; Material: Aluminum or Magnesium. Line Item 0002: Function: Provides support for the cable tension regulator; Dimensions: L - 9.5" x W - 5.5" x H - 9"; Weight: 1 LB; Material: Aluminum or Magnesium. Full and open competition applies. Engineering source approval necessary to maintain quality. First Article testing is required to ensure the reliability and integrity of the item. Approved Source: The Boeing Company (CAGE 81205). Alternate sources must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures and be approved by the OC-ALC B-52 Engineering Office, Tinker AFB, OK. 9. Total Line Item Quantities: Line Item 0001: 61 EA; Line Item 0002: 61 EA. 10. Application: B-52H 11. Destination: FB2039, Tinker AFB, OK 73145-9013. 12. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. AWARD WILL NOT BE WITHHELD AWAITING QUALIFICATION. 14. Export Controlled: Yes. The solicitation document contains information that has been designated as "Militarily Critical Technical Data." Only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office, and have a valid requirement may have a copy of the solicitation document. All requests for copies of the solicitation document must include a certified copy of DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
