Description
NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for 26 Coarse Sun Sensors, 24Coarse Sun Sensor Stimulators, and 1 Stimulator Control Panel capable of testingtwenty-four Coarse Sun Sensors for the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Project. The scope of work for this procurement entails the Contractor providing the design,development, fabrication, testing, calibration and delivery of the coarse sun sensors inaccordance with the Statement of Work, Performance Specifications, and Deliverable ItemsList and Schedule. Stated documents will be provided with the issuance of the Request forProposal. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.See Note26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside.See Note 1.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336414 and 1,000, respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about March 20, 2009 with an anticipatedoffer due date of on or about April 20, 2009.An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFCBusiness Opportunities home page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=51Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referencednotes may be viewed at the following URLs linked below.
